ABSTRACT: This research investigates the role of early childhood education in teaching ethical farming practices to young children. Educating children about ethical farming can foster a generation that values sustainable and humane agricultural practices. Objectives included evaluating children's understanding of ethical farming, identifying effective educational practices, and assessing the long-term benefits of early ethical farming education. A survey design was chosen for its capacity to gather detailed data. Purposive sampling was used to select 180 children from preschools in Enugu State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children exposed to ethical farming education demonstrated a better understanding and appreciation of humane and sustainable farming practices. Activities such as interactive lessons, hands-on farming projects, and visits to ethical farms were particularly effective. The study recommended incorporating ethical farming education into early childhood curricula to promote sustainable and humane agricultural practices from an early age.
